The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a civil rights organization founded in 1909. It is the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the United States. The NAACP works to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

The Orange Revolution was a series of protests in Ukraine that began in November 2004 and lasted until January 2005. The protests were sparked by the fraudulent presidential election of Viktor Yanukovych, a pro-Russian candidate. The protests were successful in overturning the election results and installing a pro-Western government. This was a humiliating ordeal for Putin, who had supported Yanukovych and had hoped to see Ukraine become a part of the Russian sphere of influence.

Two skiers were tragically killed in an avalanche in Colorado on Sunday, February 26th. According to the La Plata County Search and Rescue, the two men were reported missing after they went on a backcountry skiing trip near the Vallecito Reservoir. Cell phone records were used to identify the location of the skiers.
