Rick Pitino is known for his success as a college basketball coach. He has been the head coach of three different college basketball programs, and has achieved success at each one. At the University of Minnesota, he led the Golden Gophers to the NCAA tournament in 2017 and 2018, and was named Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2017. At FIU, he led the Panthers to the NCAA tournament in 2012, and at the University of New Mexico, he has the Lobos off to a great start in 2021.
