    The US Capitol Police force is taking extra precautions ahead of a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump. The Joint Information Center, which includes 12 local agencies, will be stood up on Tuesday in case of an emergency response. The NYPD is expecting all officers to be in uniform and ready for deployment on Tuesday, but there is currently no credible threat.

    On Sunday evening, a protest at the future site of the Atlanta public safety training center turned violent when nearly 150 protestors burned construction equipment, threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police, and gunshots were heard coming from the woods. According to the New York Times, the protest began peacefully, but quickly escalated when some of the protestors began to damage vehicles and set fire to construction equipment.
